Sam Belden

Ever since he was a toddler, Sam has always had his head pointed towards the sky, watching the planes fly over. Growing up with a father who is a Delta Air Lines pilot, Sam was exposed to the industry young, and got to experience many opportunities to reaffirm his passion for flying. Sam started to pursue his career path in aviation by attending ACE Camp in June of 2014. Inspired by MN ACE Camp, Sam was determined to start flying. Soon after attending ACE, Sam began flight lessons at his home airport in Lakeville MN. After a year and a half of on again off again training, in July 2016, Sam passed is Private Pilot check-ride and became a certified pilot. He is currently working on his Instrument Rating and Commercial rating with the goal of flying for Boutique Air within the next year, for his first stepping stone to the airline world. In 2017 Sam became part of the ACE team as a July councilor. “My favorite part of ACE Camp, (even though it’s hard to choose,) is helping the students throughout the week build relationships, and make connections, and even after camp staying in contact with the students, learning of their progressions and helping them in any way I can.”
